Ibrahim is a 4th year student of Medicine and Surgery at Lagos State University College of Medicine, Nigeria. He is a Multi-Volunteer and advocate for access to quality health care.
Through this interest he co-founded One Health Lifesavers, an initiative that helps tackle the blood shortage crisis in Nigeria by improving the donation culture and helping to prevent diseases that may increase the transfusion need in vulnerable communities through access to health care. With One Health Lifesavers, he has organized several blood donation camps raising over 500 pints of blood potentially saving up to 1500 lives including those of children battling diseases like cancer and sickle cell anemia that may require constant transfusions in order to be able to achieve their dreams.
He has served as the head of volunteers for Health Drive Nigeria, an NGO that helps tackle hepatitis, one of the most deadly diseases, through advocacy and action by organizing awareness campaigns and medical outreaches to provide free health screenings and vaccination exercises.
He also serves as an Ambassador to Afri-Health, which uses telemedicine to provide cutting edge and affordable healthcare solutions for people across Africa and beyond. Ibrahim volunteers for several organizations including the Rotaract Club and Lagos Food Bank, which acts as a front-line agency assisting women and children struggling with malnutrition and hunger across Nigeria.
Ibrahim has continued to strive for excellence and he is enthusiastic about gaining knowledge and sharing it to help improve the health care systems and access to primary health care in Africa and beyond.

1. Why do non-profits like Lala Forever matter, specifically as regards to children ?
LalaForever means the world to kids. Think of it like a superhero in their lives, swooping in to save the day. You know how life can be tough sometimes, especially for kids who might not have everything they need? Well, LalaForever is there to make sure they get what they deserve – a fair shot at success.
They don't just hand out scholarships; they hand out hope. By giving kids the chance to go to school without worrying about money, LalaForever is opening doors they might have thought were closed. And it's not just about the money; they hook kids up with mentors too, real-life heroes who show them the ropes and help them dream big.
But it doesn't stop there. LalaForever knows that having the right gear can make all the difference in school. So, they make sure every kid has the tools they need to succeed, whether it's pencils and notebooks or a brand-new backpack.
What's cool about LalaForever is that they're not just about grades; they're about the whole kid. They want them to feel good about themselves, to believe in what they can do. It's like they're saying, "Hello child, you matter, and we're here to help you shine."
In a world where not every kid gets a fair shot, LalaForever is like a ray of sunshine, bringing hope and possibility to every corner. It's not just about changing lives; it's about changing the world, one kid at a time.
2. If you could create a program, or service under the LalaForever name what would it be?
The LalaForever Health Empowerment Initiative. I feel that this is a wonderful initiative and I want to appreciate you for the opportunity
3. What would this program mean to you and how would you run it?
In various regions across Nigeria and Africa, limited access to primary healthcare services presents a significant obstacle to the well-being of children and families. Common diseases like malaria and hepatitis persistently afflict these communities, not only compromising physical health but also impeding economic growth and educational opportunities. The absence of essential healthcare services perpetuates cycles of sickness and poverty while depriving children of the chance to thrive and prosper.
In light of these pressing healthcare challenges, I am compelled to propose the inception of the LalaForever Health Empowerment Initiative. Drawing upon my experiences as a medical student and advocate for health equity, I am motivated by a deep-seated commitment to effect tangible change in marginalized communities. Through this initiative, we aim not only to provide immediate healthcare interventions but also to foster enduring well-being and resilience within these communities.
The LalaForever Health Empowerment Initiative will embrace a comprehensive approach to healthcare, with a focus on prevention, education, and empowerment. This is the plan
1. Mobile Health Clinics: We will deploy mobile health clinics staffed with healthcare professionals, equipped with diagnostic tools, and stocked with essential medications to underserved communities. These clinics will offer complimentary malaria and hepatitis screenings, vaccinations, and health consultations, ensuring that even remote areas have access to vital healthcare services.
2. Community Health Education: Alongside medical assistance, our initiative will conduct workshops and seminars on community health. These sessions will cover topics such as disease prevention, hygiene practices, and nutrition, empowering community members with the knowledge and skills to manage their health effectively.
3. Capacity Building: Understanding the significance of sustainable healthcare solutions, the LalaForever Health Empowerment Initiative will invest in building capacity within communities. This involves training local healthcare workers, community health volunteers, and educators to sustain the initiative's impact in the long run.
4. Partnerships and Advocacy: We will collaborate with local governments, NGOs, and healthcare institutions to advocate for enhanced access to primary healthcare services and infrastructure. By forging alliances and advocating for policy reforms, we aim to bring about enduring systemic improvements in healthcare delivery.
5. Technology Integration: To augment our reach and efficiency, we will leverage technology solutions such as telemedicine and mobile health applications. These tools will facilitate remote consultations, health monitoring, and access to educational resources, bridging gaps in healthcare service access.
Through the LalaForever Health Empowerment Initiative, I have envisioned a future where every child and community can access quality healthcare, paving the way for healthier, more prosperous lives. We have the power to make a meaningful impact in the lives of millions, ensuring that no child's potential is stifled by preventable health challenges.
